The weather here in Gardner has been beautiful! We spend most evenings outside. We have had to go out before supper lately because it's getting dark early. Luke loves playing with his buddies, and Rachel loves watching the big kids play.
Rachel is now able to sit up all by herself! She loves to sit up and play with toys! She has also been trying new foods. She likes graham crackers, toast, cheerios, and cheese. So far mashed potatoes have not been her favorite. :)
The past two weekends have been busy again. Matt's parents came to help us with the basement, which we are STILL working on. Slowly but surely, it will be done soon! We also took Grandma and Grandpa Holthe to the pumpkin patch. We all had fun again! This time we picked out some pumpkins to take home.
This weekend was another trip to Omaha. We stayed with the Ternes family on Friday night. Then on Saturday I had lunch with my Mom, Jonie, and Hannah. Then Mom and I went to the Orpheum to see West Side Story. The show was really good and we had lots of fun. Matt took the kids to Lincoln to celebrate Uncle Paul's birthday and watch the Huskers. After our fun-filled day, we decided to come home.

KC zoo, Iowa, and pumpkin patch!
The Holthes have started the month of October with lots of fun activities! To start, Matt took off last Friday so we could all go to the KC zoo. We had fun watching the polar bear, hippos, giraffes, and zebras. We also rode the train 3 times!
After we wore the kids out, we drove to Omaha to spend a quick night with the Ternes family. Luke had fun playing with Maddie and playing the piano. On Saturday Rachel and I went to a family bridal shower. It was fun to see my cousins again!
After that, our weekend was not over! We drove to Iowa to visit my Grandma and Grandpa. We had a nice visit with them.
Today we met Liz and baby Sam at the Pumpkin Patch. The baby girls had fun looking at the animals and riding the tractor to the pumpkin patch. Luke loved the slides, feeding the goats, riding the train 5 times, and riding the tractor! What a fun day!
